Who is responsible
Empastack is the sole proprietorship of Jasper van Isterdael, based in Heeze, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: available on 19 November 2026. Jasper is responsible for the personal data described on this page. For any question about it, email contact [at] empastack [dot] com.
In short
- The website itself sets no cookies, and nothing on it follows you around the web.
- Visits are counted anonymously, without cookies. You can turn this off on this page.
- The contact form sends your message to Jasper by email. The website stores nothing.
- Your data is never sold and never used for advertising.
The contact form
When you send a message, the website forwards it by email to Jasper's mailbox at Microsoft 365. It contains what you fill in: your name, email address and message and, if you choose to, your organisation and a topic. The form doesn't store anything itself, and nothing is logged.
Jasper uses these details only to answer your message and, if you'd like, to discuss a project. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible agreement, or the legitimate interest in answering questions (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Messages are deleted within a year of the last contact. If a message leads to an assignment, the related correspondence is kept for as long as Dutch tax law requires, which is seven years.
Spam protection
To keep spam out, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. It only loads once you start filling in the form. Turnstile looks at technical signals from your browser and at your IP address to tell people from bots, and gives the website a one-time code. It doesn't use tracking cookies and isn't used for advertising. The check is needed to protect the form (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Visit counts
The website counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It records which page was opened, the website you came from, your type of browser and device, your country and how quickly the page loaded. It uses no cookies or other storage in your browser, doesn't build a profile and doesn't follow you to other websites. A visit can't be traced back to you.
The figures only show how many people visit and which pages are useful. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, your visit isn't counted at all. You can also turn counting off yourself with the switch on this page.
Hosting and email
The website runs on Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the pages and to protect them against attacks. Cloudflare does this as a processor, under a data processing agreement. Data may be processed outside the European Union; Cloudflare participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and uses the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Email, including messages from the contact form, is handled by Microsoft 365. Microsoft also acts as a processor, under its data protection terms, and stores the mailbox within the EU Data Boundary.
Cookies and storage in your browser
This website sets no cookies. It does remember up to three choices in your browser's local storage, only on your own device:
- light or dark mode, if you switched it;
- that you've seen the notice about visit counts;
- that you'd rather not be counted, if you chose that.
These are needed for the site to work the way you set it, so under Dutch law they don't require consent. You can remove them at any time by clearing this website's data in your browser. During the spam check, Turnstile may briefly store technical data that the check itself needs.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, to limit how it's used, to object to its use, or to receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email contact [at] empastack [dot] com and you'll get an answer within a month.
If you think your data isn't being handled properly, you can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
